I’ve posted about the amazing, historic Arva Flour Mill before. Their fantastic, artisanal flours are second to none for those with a passion for baking, especially bread baking. I recently discovered the mill has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds towards restoration work on the mill and its dam. They have a long way to go at this date, so I hope that the local food movement can get behind them and get them to their goal.
Arva’s flours are available at a couple places in Toronto, but you can also buy them online. Their 6 bags of flour special, with free shipping to Ontario and Quebec is a fantastic deal.
Please help keep this nearly 200-year-old historic gem going. As Canada’s oldest continuously operated mill, we simply can’t afford to let this important heritage and local food site fall to pieces.
Do you ship to the US?
Hi Linda,
I think you mistake my post. I am not affiliated with the mill; I am a customer myself. You will have to contact the mill for this question.
A beautiful place to visit and great artisan products. Bring your camera to take pictures of the ducks, the geese, the chickens and other creatures enjoying a swim in the pond or just freely walking around the natural surroundings of “the mill on the damn site”!
